KAT SHOOB (capital radio)

Kat Shoob currently presents The Vodafone Big Top 40 Chart Show every Sunday across the nation between 4-7pm pulling in 3.5 million listeners, as part of this Kat interviews some of the world’s biggest artists.

Kat is the main dep for Lisa Snowdon on London’s Capital Breakfast show. As Breakfast presenter Johnny Vaughn told producers that it was only Kat he wanted to work with when Lisa was away as she is ‘so bl*ody good’ Kat has remained the Breakfast show dep ever since.

Born in Essex but raised in Shropshire, Kat began her presenting career keeping the students and insomniacs company while presenting The Mint for ITV1, ITV Play’s flagship show, where she acquired a huge amount of live TV air miles and the presenting skills that were needed to keep the conversation flowing whilst interviewing whichever celebrity guest had dropped by the Mint mansion that evening.

As well as this, Kat could be spotted over on ITV2 match making singletons on Playdate. Kat secured her first radio job at the tender age of 22 joining the very popular Bam Bam as his co-host on London’s Capital FM Radio, on the 7-10pm slot Monday to Friday.

Proving popular on Capital FM, Kat was awarded a self-titled show which she co-presented with Rich Clarke called The Rich and Kat Show, this was live every weekday evening from 7-10pm.

Kat has had lots of great additional opportunities at the station including hosting Entertainment Weekly, rugby coverage at the O2 and any red carpet premieres and events that were happening that week in London.

Away from radio Kat became a computer geek fronting a daily computer games show for Esport called The Hub. As anchor of the show, Kat provided the computer gaming world with gaming news and current/future releases.

Kat has carried on in the gaming world and is currently the present the weekly round up on EA Games- attending games conferences and interviewing the latest biggest players in gaming world.

Not limited to just TV and radio Kat uses her talent in the world of voice over, beginning as the continuity voice on FIVE, which involved writing and recording links, Kat is also a regular voice over artist for Popgirl and voices a huge variety of Album and Single release adverts on television- you will have heard Kat’s voice!

As yet another string to her bow Kat is a very talented safe pair of hands for corporate events, hosting a BA Corporate for two years running. Interviewing travellers and giving people an inside look around the terminal, Kat’s video aired online, in-house and on big screens at T5.

With hours of live air miles under her belt already, Kat has established herself as one of the UK’s most talented presenters and a known voice heard by millions each week.
