Calum Best was born in 1981, son of late British football legend George Best.
Throughout his teens and early twenties, Calum worked as an international model, front campaigns for Burberry, Geuss, Jockey Underwear, Tommy Hilfiger and Sketchers. Calum appeared in Vogue, Evening Standard Magazine cover, Sunday Times Style to name but a few.
Calum has also acted , appearing in the ITV1 cult drama series Footballers Wives, and independent films Psyche and he has recently been cast in The Outsider, a British independent film directed by Arran Anyrin Bowen.
In 2005 he appeared in ITV1’s Celebrity Love Island, and appeared again the following year and was crowned the winner. In 2006, Calum appeared in the ITV2 series Calum, Fran and Dangerous Danan which saw them travel from Texas to Los Angeles on America’s Route 66.
In late 2006, he launched a limited edition men’s cologne called Calum. During the second half of 2008, Calum filmed for MTV strand Totally Calum Best in Los Angeles.
2009 saw Calum appear as a judge on ITV2 show Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend.
Towards the end of 2009 Calum presented a BBC Children in Need documentary ‘Brought Up By Booze’ which got 1.5 million viewers on BBC1. Its success resulted in it being repeated on BBC3 and helped to raise awareness for the charity.
Calum recently presented on the Channel 5 chat show ‘Live from Studio Five’ with Ian Wright and with various other presenting and TV opportunities coming up it will be yet another busy year for him. In 2013 he coached the winning team in RTE’s Celebrity Bannestoir.
Calum has been a very hands- on patron of charity. He raises money for NOCOA (National Organisation For Children Of Alcoholics), Acytion On Addiction and The Elton John Aids Foundation amongst others by participation in the London Marathon every year and recently did a televised trek through Vietnam.
Calum has developed further fragrances and men’s grooming products to be launched 2014. He has also designed a capsule men’s underwear collection which debuted at Manchester Fashion Week.
In January 2014 Calum was the featured guest in ‘Money Talks’ for ITV1 show ‘This Morning’.
Calum is now filming a feature length documentary ‘My Best’ about his journey as the son of the world’s most iconic football hero, George Best.
BBC Northern Ireland are currently filming Calum for their hit series ‘Story Of A Lifetime’.
