ALISON LIMERICK

Alison Limerick trained for a career in the theatre but quickly moved into the music business, signing to Arista Records, releasing two albums, “and still I rise” and “with a twist” , and  five singles including the chart hits “Where Love Lives” and “Make It On My Own”. Arista subsequently released the Alison Limerick “Club Classic” album from which “Where Love Lives” again topped the dance charts across Europe and the USA, and went to number 9 in the UK national chart. “Put Your Faith In Me” was the first single off the album “Spirit Rising” released on the Jammin’ Music label, followed by “Let’s Hold On To Love”.

Co-writing/singing collaborations, including “Love Will Keep Us Together” with the James Taylor Quartet, for their album “In The Hands Of The Inevitable”, and several “acid jazz” tracks for the Vibraphonic albums; “Vibraphonic” “Vibraphonic 2” and “On a Roll”. Collaborated with Japanese band “Key of Life” on their debut album. Worked with European artists including Joe T Vanelli and The Visnadi Brothers. Also sang with George Michael for the Michael Parkinson interview. Commercial sessions include: The Style Council, Pete Murphy, This Mortal Coil (albums – “Filigree and Shadow”, “Blood”) and Richard Jobson.

Alison has performed live with Courtney Pine’s big jazz band on the “On Track” tour. Appeared, along with Damage, Mis-Teeq, Lamont Dozier and others at the Royal Festival Hall in “The Song’s The Thing”, a celebration of Motown music. Recent projects include writing with “Full Flava”, an R ‘n’ B group ( their album “Colour Of My Soul” was released 2003), and also writing with IKON, featuring on the second single (“Do You Dream”) from their self titled debut album, released early 2004.

The new single “Workin’ On It” (Alison Limerick with jack and master) is due for release at the end of 2004 on the angel reef label.
